What is BA LLB?
A. BA LLB is an undergraduate degree, which focuses on integrating knowledge regarding law and other subjects to the candidates. Students are also introduced to law case studies, which will help them practice for their careers in the law field. The majority of Law schools run a semester system in which the five-year duration course is divided into 10 semesters
Is BA LLB better or LLB?
A. BA LLB is an integrated 5-year program, where the student has to study LLB along with other Arts subjects. However, LLB is a 3-year program that focuses solely on the study of Law. BA LLB is a very popular choice amongst students who have completed Class 12th and wish to make a career in the legal profession.
I have a science background in 12th standard. Can I apply for BA LLB?
A. Yes. Students of any stream can apply for BA LLB provided that they meet the basic eligibility criteria. Candidates should clear Class 12 in any stream from a recognised school, with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks. There is no age bar to pursue the course. Also, if a candidate aspires to pursue Law from NUJ, he has to pass the CLAT UG entrance examination.
Is BA LLB merit or entrance based?
A. No, we provide admission solely based on marks scored in the last qualifying exam.
