Overview

Welcome to the Centre for Road Safety Management at Nirwan University Jaipur, where our primary goal is to cultivate a culture of safety on the roads.

School of Agriculture

Our center is dedicated to research, education, and advocacy endeavors aimed at diminishing road accidents and fostering responsible behavior among road users. With a commitment to becoming a leading institution in road safety management, both nationally and internationally, we are driven by a comprehensive set of objectives.

These include conducting cutting-edge research to identify the root causes of road accidents and developing evidence-based strategies for prevention, providing high-quality education and training programs to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe road behavior, advocating for policies and initiatives that promote road safety and influence behavior change among road users, and engaging with communities to raise awareness about road safety issues and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.

Our services encompass a range of activities, from undertaking research projects and organizing training programs to hosting workshops and seminars, advocating for evidence-based policies, and conducting public awareness campaigns.

With a team of experienced researchers, educators, and practitioners, we are committed to adopting innovative approaches and fostering collaboration with various stakeholders to maximize our impact and ultimately make a tangible difference in reducing road accidents and saving lives. Initiative

Basic Life Support Training Centre

The Basic Life Support Training Centre is a collaborative initiative between the Centre for Road Safety Management, the State Road Safety Cell, Department of Transport and Road Safety, Government of Rajasthan, and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency & Trauma Care, AIIMS, New Delhi. Our mission is to empower individuals with life-saving skills and enhance preparedness in dealing with emergencies and road traffic crashes at the community level.

Vision

Our vision is to create a culture of road safety excellence, where every road user is empowered with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed decisions and prevent accidents. Through our efforts, we strive to achieve SDG 3.6 and 11.2 on our roads.

Mission

The Centre's overarching mission is threefold: to advance knowledge through rigorous research, to empower individuals and communities through education and training, to effect meaningful change through advocacy and outreach.

As the Director of this esteemed center, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all visitors, stakeholders, and advocates of road safety. Our center is dedicated to addressing the critical challenges of road safety in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through our commitment to sustainable education models in the field of road safety, we strive to contribute to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Our mission goes beyond conventional approaches as we aim not only to understand the complexities of road safety but also to implement proactive measures that save lives and prevent accidents sustainably. By integrating innovative educational methods, such as experiential learning and community engagement, into our programs, we empower individuals to become agents of change in their communities. Through collaborative efforts with government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society organizations, we aspire to foster a comprehensive approach to road safety that addresses infrastructure, behavior, and policy, thus contributing to the achievement of the SDGs.
