Farmer's Day

It is really great to witness the School of Agriculture celebrating Farmer's Day (Kisaan-Diwas) on the birth-anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh; the fifth Prime-Minister of India on 23rd of December, 2022. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr) Arvind Agrawal formally declared the ceremony open with his motivational words. The students of the department have made the occasion live by performing many vibrant stage performances including skids, folk-dances and speeches on the relevant topics. The program became more graceful by getting the Sarpanchs the adopted villages and as per our culture and custom, The President (Vice-Chancellor) of the university honored the Gram-Sarpanchs by presenting 'Shawl' as a token of respect. The Sarpanchs, in their 'Aashir-Vachans' admired the efforts made by the university for the growth and development of the studying students and also expressed their will to promote and motivate others also in the villages of their control to send their children to the university for enjoying a bright future. In the same queue, the department-faculty members have invited farmers from the five adopted villages and apprised them to the new innovations and technologies in the field of Agriculture like the use of Solar-Plates, Hydro-Ponic, Sero-Ponic and Vertical Farming etc.
