There has been a transformational change in teaching-learning pedagogies, with an increased emphasis on Outcome-Based Education. Under the NEP-2020, educational institutions need to develop a learner-centered approach that focuses on what student should be able to do in the real world upon completion of their courses. Keeping this in view Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), at Nirwan University has organized a workshop on “Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” on March 23rd, 2024. The resource person was Prof. (Dr.) Animesh Singh and the event was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Aparna Dixit, Director IQAC, Nirwan University, Jaipur. Prof. (Dr.) Animesh Singh is working as a professor of international Business, at Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He is having 16 years of teaching International Business, Marketing, and Business Ethics & Human Value courses and 5 years of Industry (Sales & Business Development) experience in various industries including FMCG, e-commerce concept selling, and Advertising. He is expertise in 4 understanding the business environment and hands-on experience in managing a sales team, managing and evaluating distribution channels, client servicing and corporate communication, administration & FMCG Sales.
The speakers emphasized the importance of restructuring our curriculum in such a manner that it Improves knowledge along with skill assuring employability to young graduates of any discipline. This workshop primarily aims to equip faculty with the necessary skills for defining the intended learning outcomes for students and structuring the educational process to attain these objectives. Student learning outcomes serve as the fundamental criteria guiding curriculum development or revision, the selection of instructional materials, the adoption of teaching methods, and the conduct of evaluations. The main objective of the workshop is to have sessions on effective implementation of OBE from several perspectives.
